EE/BME Double Degree Sample Program
Note:
- For a BME student in the electrical track pursuing the double degree program with EE needs to pay attention to the following requirements to satisfy the EE degree:
- Computer Science requirement:
One of the following two courses in computer science: CSE 126 Introduction to Computer Programming, CSE 131 Computer Science I.
- 26 units of required ESE courses:
ESE 260, ESE 330 and ESE 498 do not overlap between BME and EE so they have to be registered.
- Two upper-level laboratory courses (6 units) from the following list:
ESE 331, ESE 435, ESE 447, ESE 448, ESE 465, ESE 488.
- 15 units of elective ESE courses in electrical engineering subjects,
from the following list: ESE 330-399, ESE 400, 402, 405, 407, 409, 425, 430-499, ESE 503-589.
- Students in the BME track of Bioelectric Systems must take the following EE courses:
E35 232 Introduction to Electronic circuits
E35 351 Signals and Systems
E35 441 Control Systems
and choose two out of the following BME electives:
BME 572 - Biological Neural Computation
BME 504 - Light Microscopy and Optical Imaging
BME 533, Biomedical Signal Processing
BME 573 Applied Bioelectricity
BME 575 Molecular Basis of Bioelectrical Excitation
BME 471 Bioelectric Phenomena
